Dear Always Connected COMMUNITY Care Partner,

If there is any story you need to share, it's this one.

Had this gentleman not had a medical alert device, then this story would be a tragedy. Thankfully, that's not the case. This man made the decision to have an extra layer of security and that made all of the difference.

You do not get to plan your next emergency, but you do get to plan for what happens in the event of one. Electronic Caregiver provides a series of safety nets whether it's GPS tracking, auto-fall detection and emergency response, or regular check-ins with family and care team. All of these could be the thing that saves someone's life in the future as long as you go out and talk about it!

Reach out to me if you have any questions about today's release!

Sincerely,

Terry Scott

I’m spreading the word about the MN QOL project! (See below).  SENIORS, STAY COOL AND STAY HYDRATED.  Stay in air-conditioned buildings as much as possible. If your home doesn't have air conditioning, contact your local health department or locate an air-conditioned shelter in your area. Do not rely on a fan as your main cooling source when it's really hot outside. Drink more water than usual and  don't wait  until you're thirsty to drink. If your doctor limits the amount of fluids you drink or has you on water pills, ask them how much you should drink during hot weather. Don't use the stove or oven to cook—it will make you and your house hotter. Wear loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing. Take cool showers or baths to cool down. Do not engage in very strenuous activities and get plenty of rest. Check on a friend or neighbor and have someone do the same for you.
