Always Connected Care will Promote Assisted Living Facilities and Retail Business who Offer Virtual Caregiving to their Residents, Customers and Clients

Dear Care Partner,

Don’t miss the Media Exposure Opportunity for your Assisted Living Facility below…

As the need for caregivers for the elderly continues to rise and the number of people working in the field declines, medical professionals and caregivers are looking to technology to help address this issue. One senior living facility is experimenting with Virtual Reality to address its patients' social isolation and cognitive decline.

Residents at the Floriana Residential Home use VR to visit locations virtually in their area and internationally. This allows the patients to gain experiences outside their facility that they otherwise would not have access to.

"Technology is not replacing human contact, but is being enhanced by it,"

Parliamentary Secretary Malcolm Paul Agius Galea

Allowing the seniors to leave the residential facility through VR helps alleviate social isolation. Exploring new locations is a fun way for them to keep their minds active and rehabilitate cognitive decline. So far, the experiment has been a success, and they plan to add VR therapy to other senior residential facilities shortly.

This further proves that technological advances are the answer to our elderly care issues. Addison Care's brain games and chat feature offer a similar relief from social isolation and help rehabilitate cognitive decline. However, that is just one of the methods Addison Care utilizes to improve senior care.

With health coaching, vitals tracking, interactive reminders, and custom exercise routines, Addison Care provides tools to assist with every aspect of elder care. These tools will not only assist caregivers in ensuring their patients are well looked after but also enrich the patients' experience.

Seniors, stay hydrated tips. Plus Minnesota needs Interviewers for Assisted Living Residents and Nursing Homes. Great pay and only 20 hours per week.

I’m spreading the word about the MN QOL project! (See below).  SENIORS, STAY COOL AND STAY HYDRATED.  Stay in air-conditioned buildings as much as possible. If your home doesn't have air conditioning, contact your local health department or locate an air-conditioned shelter in your area. Do not rely on a fan as your main cooling source when it's really hot outside. Drink more water than usual and  don't wait  until you're thirsty to drink. If your doctor limits the amount of fluids you drink or has you on water pills, ask them how much you should drink during hot weather. Don't use the stove or oven to cook—it will make you and your house hotter. Wear loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing. Take cool showers or baths to cool down. Do not engage in very strenuous activities and get plenty of rest. Check on a friend or neighbor and have someone do the same for you.
